2023 All-Star Event Recap

More than a week has passed since our second annual BMHC All-Star Event! Here’s a look back at the day, including some shots from the Legends vs. Futures game – the Futures took the game again this year with a 9-7 win! We also recognized our BMHC player of the year, Junyan Mak.

A big thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, players, coaches, and volunteers for your contributions to such a memorable event. We would also like to recognize the Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation for all of its work in support of Ashton Stephenson this past weekend!

Prior to the All-Star game, our players and staff had the honor of hearing from Maria and Will Bales, parents of Nick Bales. Nick was a member of the Colorado hockey community who started Brought To Reality (BTR) when he was a high school sophomore. In starting his company, Nick hoped to bring awareness to teen mental health and put an end to the surrounding stigma. Nick lost his battle with mental illness in 2018 but his family has continued the conversation in his name, reminding us of the importance of checking in on our loved ones. In support of Nick and his mission, our players now wear BTR stickers on their helmets.
