A special thank you Maria and Will Bales with Brought to Reality for sharing their son Nick Bales’ story with players and fans. Nick was a member of the Colorado hockey community who started Brought To Reality (BTR) when he was a high school sophomore. In starting his company, Nick hoped to bring awareness to teen mental health and put an end to the surrounding stigma. Nick lost his battle with mental illness in 2018 but his family has continued the conversation in his name, reminding us of the importance of checking in on our loved ones. In support of Nick and his mission, our players wore BTR jerseys for this years event, which you can see pictured below!
