Colorado State University Rams

About The Rams

The Colorado State University Men's Division 3 Ice Hockey Team is making the jump to American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 2, West Division, for the upcoming 2017-2018 season.

The Rams are proud to be joining the Big Mountain Hockey Conference (BMHC) for their inaugural season in D2, joining charter members University of Northern Colorado, Denver University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado and fellow newcomer University of Wyoming.

The CSU Men's D2 Team is located in Ft. Collins, Colorado, with home games played at Edora Pool and Ice Center (EPIC). The team strives to develop players into well rounded individuals, both on and off the ice, through teamwork, leadership, and camaraderie. The players focus on improving themselves as individuals and student athletes through a team atmosphere. The Rams also believe in strong community involvement in the Fort Collins area.

While a member of the ACHA Division 3, the Rams were consistent contenders for the D3 national title. Since the 2010-2011 season, the team has qualified for the National Tournament each year, finishing at #6 in the final 2016-2017 D3 National Rankings. The goal for the 2017-2018 season remains the same, winning a National Championship.
