The UNC Bears Hockey team has been around for nearly 30 years. The team plays out of the Greeley Ice Haus where they have their own private locker room and average around 800 fans per game. The Bears are coached by Ken Fikis, Ryan Kenney, and Corbin Fitzgibbons. UNC has won three Big Mountain Hockey Conference titles since 2016 and qualified for the ACHA National Tournament in Columbus in 2018 and Dallas in 2019 along with numerous regional tournament appearances. UNC is very involved in their community hosting various community service events each season like Hockey Fights Cancer Night and Military Appreciation Night.
