New Mexico Lobos

About the Lobos

In the 2024-2025 season, the Lobos transitioned to ACHA Division 2, marking a pivotal step forward for the program. Prior to this move, the team consistently ranked among the top 20 in ACHA Division 3 and earned berths to the National Tournament in both 2018 and 2022. The move to Division 2 has elevated the level of competition, fostering significant growth and further solidifying the program's commitment to excellence both on and off the ice.

Through dedication, teamwork, and a focus on player development, UNM Lobo Hockey continues to build a legacy of success while proudly representing the University of New Mexico on a national stage.

The team calls the McDermott Athletic Center home, as this is where the team practices, has a dedicated locker room and uses the on-site Cross Fit facility for strength and conditioning training.

The Lobos typically play 30+ games per season in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Colorado and California. Games are currently played at the Outpost Ice Arena.
